The Cover Up – bizZarh

Rapper Charlie Champ and singer Dollar Paris are BIZZARH. The self-proclaimed Lady Killer Outcasts live up to their name, too; from their funky neo-soul sound to their eclectic bazaar-like style, these girls have got something for everyone. Case in Point: their debut release, The Cover Up, features a collection of covers with a uniquely bizzarh twist, ranging from soul to funk to hip-hop to dubstep. Look out for favourites from artists like Nas and Skrillex among some originals, as well as a skit thrown in for good measure (the hilarious “Bitchez ‘n Niggaz”). I think this album is called “doing it right”.

My Pick: Dead World. These girls give “Dead Presidents” and “Who’s World Is This?” the Toronto treatment, no holds barred. “I love my paper red and brown like the buildings in my town, Toronto hold it down… You rappers making Canada dry, but yo fuck ginger ale!”
